A cat and a corvette

This weekend we had a cat join our family. Then on Sunday Jeff's college roommate, James, took me for a ride in his 2010 Corvette.

Wow, I didn't want to get out of the comfy leather seat! That car had so many gadgets it made my head swim.

The cat, Perky, came from my friend Carla. We took her to the airport this Wednesday so she would go back to assisted living in her homeland of The Netherlands. It was a sad occassion but we are relieved to hear she is in an excellent facility.

"soul time"

Since 2004 I have been trying to make time to go away for a day and "spend time with God". I found a place called "Holy Ground". The website is holygroundhermitage.org. I have a motto that "I will try anything once" so I decided to try a 24 hour retreat. I liked it so much that I am going there on a monthly basis now for 6 years. The Rev. Betty Voigt is my spiritual guide and helps me to see where God's spirit is leading me and it has helped to keep me "on course".

Helping

My best friend Carla will be moving to Holland on Aug. 4th so we have been going there to help her pack and empty out her small ranch house

I just got MBT shoes. A friend from Germany who had back and knee problems said they really helped her. I have found that they have already made my back not hurt so much. We bought them online for $106.00 instead of the $245.00 in a store in Pittsburgh. I really like these sandals because they are adjustable.
